Contact them for permission to reproduce it. |  | | Description | Another view, this time looking west (approx), of the pile of stones near Moel ty Uchaf. If you look at the last four pics I've posted you will see that, nearby, Burl found a cleared cairn that had contained much white quartz. Were these stones cleared from it, or is it a collapsed tomb in its own right? It aligns with the small cist-like boulder (right of the little darker bush on the edge of the ridge here [see overview pic for positions]) to a prominent high mountain in the far distance. You can also see the small stones that form a kind of pavement - but were these the smaller ones from the top of the cleared cairn, and the boulders from the tomb underneath? They are several yards from its site.

(2006-07-18) | Absolutely fascinating Angie! I'm wodering if "Celts" could have used it as a roadway? Have just been reading Terry Jones " Barbarians". I missed most of the series on telly. It's smashing reading!!!
Apparently they were very good at trackways across bogs! |
