|Description ||Bryn Gwyn stones under a late-afternoon midsummer sky - the Snowdon range in the distance. Here you can see how the 'blockier' stone has changed shape yet again. Now the axehead-shaped side seems to have sprouted a billowing appendage. [Mid-June 06]|

|Thanks Nicola..... lucky with the sky, too, maybe? It was a lovely site, which I hope to return to. The 'blocky' stone fascinated me, that's why I've posted a series of pics of all its different shapes. Thinking about it, I wonder if the ancient circle-builders chose these two (Portal stones?) for their resemblance (at this angle) to an axe head and a sword?|
