|Description ||One of two barrows at Moneystones - this one is referred to as Moneystones North (SK15086163). The barrow is large: 26x24x1m, with significant remains extant. However, the barrow was disturbed during the wall building following the Enclosure Acts in the 18th Century - robbed for the wall that now passes through the centre. Excavated by Bateman who discovered bones and flint remains.|
A second smaller barrow - Moneystones South (SK15176152) - is located in an adjacent field 130m south-east.
Neither barrow is visible from Arbor Low (2.1km away) since they lie a valley bottom. However, the nearby barrows of Lean Low and End Low are both visible.
