The undergrowth has overtaken the small circle. (The picture I posted previously is under Gallery/England/Cornwall. At that time, it was the most scary place I'd ever been.) The rocks above it are known as The Giant's Footprints, because of the footprint-shaped rock basins, and it is within half a mile of Crows an Wra (Witches' Cross), and just off the footpath to Boscawen Un from the Lands End road, via the lay-by (not farm). I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has had strange experiences here when accessible. |
| Posted Comments: JimChampion (2006-11-01) | It seems that Creeg Tol has also been referred to as "Carn Boscawen" in the past. It is mentioned in connection with natural/artificial rock basins in Popular Romances of the West of England collected and edited by Robert Hunt [1903, 3rd edition] | AngieLake (2006-11-02) | Thanks for this link Jim. Very interesting, and also features many other sites on the Portal. |
