Contact them for permission to reproduce it. |  | | Description | Although listed as a 'Standing Stone' here many believe that the Odin Stone never stood but is a glacial deposit. Nonetheless it is a place of considerable atmosphere and no little beauty and is reputed to be a spot where deals were struck and sealed up to fairly recent times. Its location is on Veantrow Bay and although shown here resting on smaller stones there is huge expanse of sand below it at the lowest tides. Many of the other Orkney islands can be seen from the stone. |
