|Description ||Senusert II was the 4th Pharao of the 12th Dynasty. His Pyramid lies just north of the small town of Al Lahun in an area also known as El-Lischt from when the capital was transfered to the region.|
It is the most southerly of the ones we were able to research at this time.
The Pyramid is unusual as it it consists of a core of limestone blocks which create a frame. Mud bicks are built around and within this. Some casing survives.
There is a series of 9 mastabas for his children and wife on the North side. The local officials refer to a series of passages under the complex.
