His wife Queen Iput I is thought to have been the daughter of Pharao Unas, giving his reign legitemacy. After Teti, Egypt started to descend towards the chaos of the first intermediate period.
His pyramid North East of Djoser's Pyramid at Sakkara is smaller and of lower quality than those even of the 5th Dynasty. It seems to be covered mostly with sand, though more sturdy material must be hidden underneath.
A short angled passage from the North Side leads to a central chamber which has the burial chamber with the sarcophagus to the West and what seems like a storage/treasure chamber to the East.
