There are remains of granite casing at the bottom. It is smooth near the entrance and has some hyrogliphics at this location.
Originaly, the Sarcophagus was still extant in one of the 2 chambers , but it was lost When Colonel Howard Vyse sent it to England in a ship, which sank of the coast of Spain. |
