Flinders Petrie dug a very narrow passage into the main burial chamber which contains what is thought to be the oldest granite sarcophagus and probably dates to the 3rd Dynasty of the old kingdom.
The top of the Mastaba has a mix of limestone and mud bricks as well as dirt. |
