This embankment is about 20m away from the circle, and runs along the south edge of the plateau, crosses the road, and continues down the hillside. Its obviously pre-road. It is not a typical drystone wall. It is over 1m tall, and made up of stones and turf. It is very unusual and I was wondering if anyone knew what it would be, and its possible age. It reminded me of the banks I saw at Kingsdale Well, near White Hag Stone circle. |
