(2006-03-03) | In that case, they'd see the sun go down over the sacred mountain at Winter Solstice sunset, from the tomb opening. (If it wasn't cloudy like this!) | stonesavant
(2010-10-03) | The sun has a tendency to break though clouds on Solstice, the light would still be aligned...dont think of it as an orb or disc, more like a beam that gets concentrated once it gets into the dark interior space. It is a clock as well as a calendar |
