Description The little chamber is approached from the south by a corridor from the edge of the cairn, made with a few upright slabs and drystone walling. The chamber is topped by a gorgeously shaped capstone

That mountain in the distance looks really prominent from this angle. I wonder if the alignment with the tomb is significant at all? You're right about it being attractive, and the views must have been superb. Thanks for bringing us all these lovely scenes to enjoy, Martyn!

The distinctive mountain is Pech de Bugarach, a well known landmark seen from miles around in all directions.

That would make it NW to NNW from this little tomb, then, wouldn't it? (Possibly close to summer solstice sunset from here?) I bet the sun would look quite spectacular going down over that huge summit!

A night fire beacon lit here could be seen from the top of Pech de Bugarach and of course the reverse is true. We should be working on the code rather than wondering it is a beacon.

Well, I only wondered if the sun went down over that mountain, when viewed from here. It would make this site's setting rather special.
