Now why did the run the fence right over the barrow, rather inconsiderate aint it! | ExpatPete (2006-02-05) | Keep these frosty photos coming - very atmospheric and seem to capture the essence of the site ( as an aside - they make me feel nearly - I did say nearly!- homesick ! Last time I saw frost like that was over 20 years ago!! Unless you ignore the last time I sorted out my freezer) | TimPrevett (2006-02-05) | Most of the major barrows / cairns seemed to be used for modern boundary usage; arguably, a continuation of the barrows' function, one might say, albeit less visually appealing. |
