|Description ||An (unknown) report from 1789 describes the henge as having had a ring of stones with only one remaining although archaeological excavations have failed to discover settings for stones. The ditch was reported to be 1.2 metres high by 90m wide - similar to Arbor Low. The bank and ditch would have been twice their present height and depth.
20m SW of the henge is a mound thought to be a rare Early/Middle Neolithic (3400-2800 BC) Oval Barrow used for (thought to be used for collective burial) overlain by a Late Neolithic / Early Bronze Age Bowl Barrow (though to be used for single or multiple burials).
