Description This odd burial chamber can be found to the northwest of the historic Naval town of Rochefort, amongst the marshes of the Charente river estuary. It consists of an oval shaped chamber which has been carved out of a big solid block of rock, on top of which is a limestone capstone.

The neighbouring Pierre Closes de Charras 2 can be seen in this picture as the white rock across the field in the distance, below the rounded wood topped hillock.
