Description This is Stone 206 from the NE sector of Avebury, and once formed part of the Northern Inner Circle surrounding the Cove. Taken in 2001, this shows the exaggerated phallic-shaped cleft in the stone, which itself looks rather phallic from some angles. I'd noticed that a similar shaped cleft occurred in the tallest of the Cove stones too. Whether this is just a co-incidence, or had been tooled out for a reason....? Note too, the weird 'eyes' lower down it. (Will post a close-up of them).
