|Description ||White Hill - recently discovered following forestry operations in Thetford Forest - but is it a round barrow or not? You can see the earthworks here - ring ditch, mound, central mound.|
|No problem, Tragic. It is listed as a Scheduled Ancient Monument - a bell barrow of the Bronze Age. What a superb example - a real beauty!|
|Wow, thanks! Just out of curiosity, do you know when that was scheduled.|
|Scheduled December 1998. Here is an invaluable tip which just shows how great the Megalithic Portal is. Go to the site page by clicking on the highlighted yellow site name at top left. At the site page you will see a row of coloured icons. Explore them and be amazed. The grey one that looks like "i" will take you to English Heritage's MagicMap for that specific location. Click on the orange sites shown on their map for further information. Shortcut for White Hill is given here|
