Sanctuary. See map at <a href="http://www.earthsanctuary.org/d_map.html">http://www.earthsanctuary.org/d_map.html</a>
The 12 stones in the circle and two outlier stones (to accentuate
North-South) were installed this past week - final grading and addition
of proper soil will be done this coming week, followed by native
plantings later this Fall.
It is a ~40' in diameter stone circle (Type B Flattened) inspired by
Callenish and the Stones of Stenness. The Columbia River Basalt Column
stones are 9' - 11' high. Four columns were sawed into three sections,
then the cut sides were flame finished to give a natural black finish.
I must say it is quite awesome and is "humming" nicely - 7 ley lines.
All the sacred spaces at Earth Sanctuary are done with the highest care,
finest materials, and a team of professionals to create the highest
quality and most exemplary sacred ecology possible.

| Posted Comments: Carolyn (2004-12-23) | I have been to Earth Sanctuary which is on an island north of Seattle. This is the larger of the two stone circles on the property, plus a dolmen and labyrinth. It is a very serene meditation forest and wonderful place to enjoy nature and the energies of the earth. I take my out of town guests there as a very special mystical tourist excursion and they all enjoy it. Most can feel the energy of the leylines and are astounded to learn that we have something like this in the USA. I am delighted that Chuck has the expertise to build these activated circles and that he shares them with others. |
