The Principia was the main building and the town was at the border between the Liburian and Dalmati tribes.
The bust of Emperor Commodus in the Zadar Museum was found here.
The town was completely destroyed when Justinian and his General attempted to take it back from the Ostrogoths in the 6th Century. |
