| Posted Comments: AngieLake (2005-10-31) | Another similar structure to 'King Arthur's Hall' on Bodmin Moor? | thecaptain (2005-10-31) | Doesnt look it Angie. Here the upright stones are outside the mound, which looks a fairly typical sort of Hunnebed, Allee Couverte type thing. But King Arthur's Hall has a flat low lying area within the upright stones, with the mounds of earthen embankment outside of them. And its substantially larger I would reckon also. | AngieLake (2005-10-31) | You're quite right Martyn. I *sit* corrected! I hadn't seen Majoky's other pics then, and the internal mound wasn't so obvious in this one, nor did the rectangle of stones seem so narrow. I guess I thought maybe the farmer had ploughed out the surrounding bank too. |
