If you compare this photo with the pic of St Piran's Lost Oratory's mound and stone memorial, you will see that the modern cross is quite a lot nearer there. From this you can guess at how far you'd have to walk to find it! (If you can't see the modern cross, look straight up above the dark triangular bush left of centre, or halfway along the horizon from the left of the closer cross.) The Perranporth holiday camp is also visible in the distance. |
