|Description ||Can anyone tell me what this is...I found it along with flint tools and a bronze age axe head|
|if it is its a stone held to drill a hole. Held in the left hand
the hole is then drilled with a feather drill. (also used to make fire)
|many thanks for that..........also on the same site ive found a bronze age axe head.bronze age arrow head also a selection of flint scrapers, could this stone be of the same period.|

|the site is totaly new and untoutched it is on the outskirts of stockton on tees,there is no site name. also on the same site i have collected , several pieces of roman pottery and over 500sherds of early medieval pottery.

i have been working on the site trying to find out the medieval life that has gone unrecorded in the history books for this area....but it now seems the site is like a time capsual dating back to 4000bc witch are the earlest finds so far............|
