Description We had a lovely evening picnic at Long Meg & Her Daughters in late August; the place seemed to bring the children alive when we arrived - and they had walked up Hallin Fell and down again in the afternoon! Here they demonstrate one of the best uses for enormous megaliths: hide & seek / chase... plenty of opportunity for that here :o) On the way back to Hadrian's Wall (where we camped) my son spontaneously remarked, "thankyou for a wonderful day". Bless 'im. The only thing we had spent that day was the petrol money. Long Meg & Her Daughters put a seal on good day.
