|Description ||Heidenstein - Schwörstadt (Front)
Front upright orthostat with "Soul Hole" and only remainder of former Dolmen. 1.9 Meter tall and about 3 meters wide and dated to about 2500 BC.
The cap stone was alledgedly carted away by the local blacksmith several decades ago. The rear side shows traces of fire due to the burning of trash. Archeologists have marked out the outline of the rest of the dolmen with bricks and set up an information sign.
It and the Toten Mann are the southernmost Dolmens in Germany, close to the swiss border, and quite rare as most of the remaining ones are in the north.|
