(2005-08-28) | Yes, this one is in the next field along, again you have to cross another gate to reach it. The top of the stone can be seen from the merry maidens and it is about a 2 minute walk down the road from the circle. | JimChampion
(2005-08-28) | ...although the bendy narrow road's not a good place to walk. There is a footpath from the Merry Maidens circle, though. Up in the top corner of the Merry Maidens field is are stone steps over the wall, then a path through a field (it's got corn "on the cob" growing in it, summer 2005) and stone steps again on the far side. You can see the Pipers (or at least one of them) from the steps over this wall. |
