| Posted Comments: enjaytom (2010-12-03) | Trefael cup-marked stone is in Dyfed, not Pembrokeshire. | Andy B (2010-12-03) | On 1 April 1996, under the Local Government (Wales) Act 1994, Dyfed was broken up and the ancient counties restored for administrative purposes, so it's now Pembrokeshire again | Sunny100 (2010-12-03) | Mmm never been too sure about that. Some of the old counties in north Wales have gone and wont return. Always been a grey area with Pembrokeshire, Cardiganshire and Carmarthenshire though. | cerrig (2010-12-04) | Why not split the difference and call it Ceredigion(shire) | cerrig (2010-12-04) | http://www.coflein.gov.uk/en/site/304084/details/TREFAEL+CUP+MARKED+STONE/
Coflein is with you Andy. | Sunny100 (2010-12-04) | Ceredigion was the original name for Cardigan (shire). The name was derived from the 4th century king, Ceredig, the son of Cunedda. People in that part of Wales do still call it Ceredigion. |
