The habited area of the settlement is built on 3 natural platforms on the steep valley side, overlooking Blea Beck. This photo shows the enclosure walling which is situated on the lower platform. It still stands proud, measuring about 1.2 meters at its highest point.
According to EH, there is meant to be a hut circle on this platform, but I couldn’t locate it due to the bracken. However, a small circular feature with a diameter of about 2 meters was apparent.
