This is one of the Nine Ladies in Derbyshire, I took this shot through a pentagram woven from twigs which was hanging from a branch of a tree along with various other 'offerings' scattered around the site. The photo was taken at Christmas 2004 just as the snow was thawing and although a bit gimmicky with the pentagram, I thought it captured the atmosphere of the place quite nicely, so would like to enter it in the prehistory theme section.|

|Lovely picture. Stanton Moor has to be one of the most amazing places in the Midlands, each time I go there more reveals itself. The adornment of the trees surrounding these stones adds to their effect and offerings seem very appropriate. Even the old quarry workings do not detract, this may be in part due to the way in which nature is reclaiming them bit by bit. The large number of different standing stones and cairns on the moor and close by show us all that this was a very important place. Dol Tor and the Andle Stone to name but a few.|
