Description Summer solstice image.
This is one of my favourite shots of one of my favourite places Easter Aquhorthies, recumbant stone circle in Aberdeenshire. It was taken very early in the morning with a very low sun casting long shadows and clear contrasts that have given life to this megalith of glowing red jasper.

gorgeous, embodies what makes stonehenge, and the summer solstice, what it is; pouring golden sunlight, clear blue skies and the stunning ancient stones aged by the seasons, stark and rough unbothered by the ravages of time.
