| Posted Comments: Hawklord (2004-09-12) | I visited this site in 2003. There are 2 circles, a burial chamber/grave in vesica piscis shape, and slightly out of site is the remains of a small hut dug into the hillside and lined with Stone. | paula p (2009-06-27) | I used to visit the site regularly in my teenage years. Also interesting features nearby I remember were what looked like a pair of hut dugouts similar to the ones on Anglesy. They are about 100m down the western slope from the circle but may now be overgrown. Also on the path through the (one time deserted) farm there are a pair of huge slag heaps which show large amounts of partially extracted copper in the form of thin wires still in the burned stone. Must be early as medieval methods are far more efficient..
There are very few better locations for a circle in the area.. the views are stunning and on a quiet cold winter day with snow in the hollows it isn't hard to imagine why the place was eventually deserted.
Wear good boots, the ground is rough thereabouts.
