| Posted Comments: clearlight (2005-09-22) | v interesting; I was up there today on the south side and saw a few formations that looked like circles, but wernt marked as such on my os map; which side did you see this on? | elderford (2005-11-16) | Sem, I'm never going to finish my book if you insist on finding new stuff everytime I turn my back. I will check it out Easter 2006. From your photo, yes it does appear to be old red sanstone with vertical layers. So it could be an erractic. What's the hollow like around it? Any packing stones visible? There is a similar ORS boulder with vertical layers above Cerrig Duon that isn't marked on maps or recorded as anything special. I haven't mentioned it to you previously so as not to worry you. |
