Restored and still sitting in its mound, the exceptional feature is the complete rebated porthole. Better still, the porthole "stopper" survives and is on display at the local museum. To add to the interest, there is "breast and necklace" art on the two outer portals, although now faint. Fantastic! |

But it hasn't been exposed for too long. The site was discovered in 1915 so I suppose its preservation (and that of the closing stone) is due to it having been buried for so long. | nicoladidsbury (2005-07-05) | Yep, this looks like a great place to visit.
