This is interesting to see, Baz. Gives us a different perspective on the existing stones - but, was this design concurrent with the five outlying stones? (I didn't realise that the Slaughter Stone was one of three, for instance).

Mike Pitts put stones where there were stone holes, but we don't know how big the missing stones were. I think the hole next to the Heelstone was too small to take a similar stone.
