|Description ||This is the little loch near Glencoe village, this wee place has seen death and destruction of my people over the centuries. My ancestors peopled this place before the Scots arrived and their decendents still live here in now dwindling numbers.|
This is a lovely picture but it could be anywhere. It needs some sense of size, perhaps hills or mountains in the background. It looks a peaceful place and usually photos of Glenco make the hair on my arms stand up. An old memory?
At this point there are no "views".From other points it is just another Scottish loch.I come here when I am up this way just to invoke racial memories. Our family goes back into the vast depths of Albanach.
Mike, As this is a small body of water in Scotland, should it not be called a lochan?
It is larger than a lochan but still a small loch. This end of it is my favourite place.Lots of midgies in the summer though.
