| Posted Comments: thecaptain (2005-07-07) | Yes, indeed this is a natural rock outcrop. I visited myself last month, and thought exactly the same as you obviously did Alex, and wondered whether it was perhaps ever used for burials or something along one of its sides, which has a sort of shelter look about it.
I then did a bit of further research, and found that the dolmen is supposedly about 50 to 100 metres away to the west. This was near where I stopped for the night, so went back next morning for another look. Unfortunately, I still couldnt get to the dolmen, as it is itself very well buried under thick gorse and bushes. |
