Marked as standing stone on the map, the stone is visible in the field adjacent to the road by the Dragon's Head Inn car park. A footpath runs through the field close to the river.
An evocatively named site, the Golden Grove stone is a 1.2m tall rectangular block of grey limestone. It shares its alternative name of the Druid's Altar with the steep hill immediately to the west. |
