(2005-05-25) | The photo is taken looking in a north easterly direction, looking at the map this would suggest the first fells in the background are Eskdale and the higher fells behind are Scafell and Slightside with the highest point being Scafell Pike. If you go up here I’d recommend 3rd Saturday in the month, the Woolpack Inn about 1ml up the road towards the Hardnott Pass has a live folk band in the bar every 3rd Saturday, good beer, & a nice selection of single malts, and it wasn’t my turn to drive:-) Nice way to end the day! | LivingRocks
