Description
Snowden Carr, North Yorkshire SE1768651191
This rock is situated 150meters west of the Iron Age settlement area. It stands about 60cm high & has a number of shallow cup like indentations on the north facing side. The majority of these markings look natural, but the deepest 3 had a distinctly manmade feel about them.
Not recorded by North Yorks County Council, EH or in ‘Prehistoric Rock-Art of the West Riding’, this might be a rediscovery.
