Iron Age Hillfort on ridge above Stolac, Bosnia. Romans conquered and destroyed this culture in second century BCE.
There are foundations of dwellings outside the main wall. These are quite massive in themselves. It suggested the people abandoned their houses in times of danger and hid in the main part of the Hillfort, with all the official buildings. |
