Iron Age Hillfort on ridge above Stolac, Bosnia. Romans conquered and destroyed this culture in second century BCE.
Remains of the impressive south tower and gate.
The detail on the gate is finer than in the rest of the wall and indicates that the Dalmatian Illyrians renovated or improved the gate well after the original wall was errected. |
