Visited Tuesday 15th June 1999
Access: By a long lane off the B4545 south east from Holyhead. If you meet anyone else in a car along this lane, you are in trouble! Turning around was also problematical. Pulling back on to the main road was also a nightmare due to blind corners. The stone is to the left of the path in front of the windmill.
The stone: small and dumpy, and the most densely lichen-covered stone I had seen - with tall stemmed plants over much of it. It overlooks a bay, and had it not been so densely foggy, I feel it would have had an outstanding view. |
