Description The Beaker Barrow at Woodhouse End in Gawsworth near Macclesfield (the bump in the middle with the telegraph pole growing out of it!), used earlier this century as a dug out by the Home Guard. In prehistoric times it overlooked a lake, the site of which can be seen at the bottom of the photograph

the commentsyou made about the telegraph pole growing out of the home gaurd dugout is wrong the dug out are to the left of the barrow they are called fox holes
