A view of the western side and southern end of the Pimperne Long Barrow from the bridleway that runs past its western side. The barrow is 2.5m tall and this does not change much along its >100m length. The barrow is aligned along the ridge that it lies on and from the top there are splendid views of Cranborne Chase. This viewpoint is easily accessible from the A354 and visitors have eroded a path along the top of the barrow mound. |
