An oblique view of the Gussage Down southern long barrow from the junction of bridleways to the east. The profile of the barrow is not smooth, but has a "head" at the SE end. Although it is on top of a ridge, the breadth of the ridge means that the barrow is not a prominent local landmark (whereas the barrow just 200m to the NW is). |
