I loved the atmosphere with the mist swirling about me. I was completely alone, except for the sound of the wind through the stones. |
| Posted Comments: BORDER COLLIE (2005-07-05) | HOW DID THEY GET WATER | pab (2007-10-07) | Border Collie asked how the occupants of Tre'r Ceiri got their water.....I wondered the same thing when exploring the site this week! No sign of a spring, even in the outer area between the double rampart walls. Obviously lots of rain, and very boggy, but I'm still curious about how they must have collected/stored enough water when operating in defensive mode...perhaps I am assuming more modern seige methods than would have been used? |
