The megalithic complex at Knockraheen bears similarities to the more spectacular example at Kealkil (cf). It consists of a complete five-stone ring, a pair of standing stones and a nearby radial cairn. The ring has an interior measurement along the main NE-SW axis of 4m with the stones being graded in height from 0.9m down to the 0.6m high level-topped recumbent stone. |
