The one remaining decent sized stone still standing, and as is the case with many of these northern Bodmin Moor circles, its a nice triangular shaped stone. |
| Posted Comments: AngieLake (2005-03-27) | Triangles seemed to be the fashion on Bodmin Moor, didn't they?! I guess the builders chose them for a special reason. You've whetted my appetite for a visit. | TheCaptain (2005-03-27) | I didnt spend long trying to figure anything out, but the large triangular stones in all the various circles I visited didnt seem to have anything in common. They were'nt all all in the same geographical position in each circle, and they didnt seem to line up on any significant point, like a hilltop. I guess if someone was to make thorough notes and study these stones, then perhaps there would be some significance. There must be something in the fact that the largest stones of these circles are all these triangular ones, and there is usually only the one. |
