This mound is listed by English Heritage as a Round Barrow, it sits just off a ridge & therefore can’t be seen from all directions. The settlement area was probably to the north where numerous cup marked rocks & enclosures are still in situ.
Pictured on top is Portal member Brigantia (Paul Bennett) looking in the direction of his beloved Ilkley Moor & thinking ‘is there a blade of grass I’ve not covered on there yet’.
