Note the 4 large spirals with a smaller rounded square spiral above left and possibly another faint motif next to that. Photographed during a research trip to Anglesey 11th September 2004. |
| Posted Comments: flatfoot (2005-07-25) | I presume you used your 'light painting' technique again.Very good result! Q: above the 2 spirals on the left below blueish tinge at the top:is there another design? if so: any chance to get it a more distinct? Looks like a face or so... | ArchaeologySafaris (2005-08-29) | I have many images of this stone, but there is no indication of a 6th design where you suggest. However a closer physical examination may reveal peck marks, which could be an unfinished/weathered design or random pecking. We will have a closer look during our next field work weekend for the Anglesey Rock Art Project (ARAP). For more details about the ARAP please visit the Archaeology Safaris website. If anyone would like to take part in this field work or attend any of our field trips or field schools, please get in touch via: info@archaeology-safaris.co.uk - Thanks AS |
