Description Uragh Stone Circle, Co. Kerry (V832 635): Of all the stunning locations chosen by bronze age man for his monuments, Uragh, the "land of the Yews", must be hard to beat. On a low hill between the Cloonee and Inchquin loughs, with a backdrop of barren and forested mountains and waterfalls, Uragh is truly awe-inspiring. The circle itself is diminutive: a five-stone ring with a low recumbent dominated by a gigantic outlying stone, 3m in height, just 0.6 m behind the circle. Unmissable!
